Immobility is the halt in your financial and mental life. You stop growing. You put a full stop and your thoughts and thinking start to troll in a limited circle with several boundaries. In short, you settle for less than you deserve.
A very precise definition of Immobility is: “The hallucination of true Satisfaction is Immobility.”
Immobility is an illusion that tells you that you are satisfied with your life and have whatever you wanted. It generates the thoughts like, okay okay buddy, you deserve only this. Not more than this. You should be happy in the circle. etc.etc.
This is clear that it is not at all a positive thing. A thing that generates limits around you and keeps on the first floor, how could it be positive? Many people are entangled in this delusion. But the thing is…..how this believe forms? Let’s try to find out.
Actually, this is the fallacy of the quote “Be Satisfied in your life with whatever you have.” Some people have a different perspective on this line. According to them, we should be satisfied whatever we have. Whatever we get. If we attempt something to achieve and we failed, we should be satisfied with failure. This is our destiny. Things like this. And what is it??……. This is called the ‘Defensive attitude towards life.’ Defense is good but over defense is always bad. Once you failed and now do not dare to try again. Such defense will drown you in this illusion of Immobility.
Steve Jobs made the first iPhone of the world. After his success, had he stopped making iPhones like I have made one so I should be satisfied and settle for this. Noooo……..he progressed and started a series of iPhones. That’s why today iPhone X and XR exists. Imagine, If he had a defensive attitude, would Apple be the most expensive brand of the world today ?……..No. He was satisfied but with an extremely positive and attacking attitude towards life.
Almost all women around me where I live are housewives. Why??…because their husbands do not allow them to do a job outside. But still, they are happy and satisfied. Because they believe that it can’t be changed. They can’t change this. So they aligning the next generation also in the same rhythm somehow as they do not allow the chicks to work outside freely and marry them without delay. This impact is surely negative.
Old people will be old people. They think old is gold. Okay fine. But we should teach the next generation about the positive attitude towards life and the true meaning of Satisfaction.

We bought a tiny house when my daughter was born so that I could stay home on my husband’s small salary. We were content and appreciated, had gratitude for what we had yet still tried to achieve more, not just for ourselves but for our daughters and others. More not always in money. Satisfaction not always in achieving items. Instead of working I volunteered helping wounded animals and also in nursing homes with those who were virtually forgotten. My husband has made choices in his job that have given us a bigger home and we have made choices in being smart with our money. I could have worked at some point before this muscle disease and TRUE immobility but I’d rather have volunteered.
I think your point is always be moving forward and I agree. Even if only in our mind. Progress, evolve, take steps toward being more enlightened.

I think we just need to be careful not to mistake settling in rassignation with settling in content.I strongly believe we must acknowledge what we have and be grateful for it but also look forward, whatever this means for any of us.๐

I don’t think that we should be ‘satisfied’ with our lives but I think that the only thing we should really be striving for is happiness in whatever form that takes for us, not other people. As Steve Jobs said “Your time is limited, so donโt waste it living someone elseโs life. Donโt be trapped by dogmaโwhich is living with the results of other peopleโs thinking. Donโt let the noise of othersโ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition”.

I think we need to change the attitude,
As said, “If you want something special in your life that you have never had, you have to do something special for that you have never done before.”
