The Concept of Blind Comments

I’m so glad to tell you that The Concept of Blind Likes has become the most popular post on BitterMarshmellos ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€. Thank you sooo much each and every person for your tremendous support for the blog. You’re amazing…๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜.

The post has become the most viewed post of all the time on my blog and collected 86 comments in total so far. ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€……I’m so grateful for every blogger who actually read the post and commented but not liked.. ๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ˜œ.

Today, I come up with another concept which I called “Blind Comments”. As the name indicates, it is related to the comments which are done without actually reading the post. Examples :- “Great post”, “๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘”, “Agreed, well written”, “Awesome”, “Nice post” etc.etc. Maybe you receive such kinda comments on some of your posts.

This is an advanced tool to get the attention to your blog. I think some people use both, the blind like and a blind comment to put more impact on the targeted blogger. They think dropping a comment is a proof that they have actually read the post i.e. to support their blind like.

BUUTTT,

This tool unfortunately is not really effective. In my so far experience in blogging, I realized that If you do a very short comment on the others’ posts, it brings your reputation down. The person instantly would know that you haven’t read the full post and just did a comment to get his attention to your blog.

How did he know that??… ๐Ÿ˜•๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค” by the way??….

Well, in many blogs, people ask questions to their readers and when a person drops a just “Great post, well done” on their post, they immediately knew that you haven’t actually read the post because you haven’t answered their questions in the comments. If you would have really read the post, then definitely you would give your opinions and the answers in your comment. Such comments really hurt the writer that he wants to get the opinions and you only dropped a very short comment.

Honestly speaking, I have never ever done any blind comment on anyone’s post. I agree that I do blind likes, but I can’t do blind comments. Because comments are a way to connect with the people and I don’t want to mess up with them. Instead, I completely involve myself in the post then think for 2 or 3 minutes on the topic and then drop a detailed comment on the post. I advise you to do the same.

Short comments can’t give you anything. If you want to connect with the people with full of your heart, you have to involve yourself completely in their posts.

From last few days, I started a thing. Now whenever I receive any comment like “Agreed”, “Nice post” on any of my posts, I immediately reply them in a sweet manner that how was this post helpful to them??๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„ and how it is great??๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€.

It might seem weird, but it really works. Then I get a complete detailed comment from the asked person and he has to read my post completely to comment.. ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰.

So now whenever you get some short comments, ask them how it was helpful to them and where are their opinions ๐Ÿ˜•๐Ÿ˜•??…

Okay, here’s a thing you have to do now.

PLEASE DO NOT COMMENT “GREAT POST”, “AGREED”, “NICE POST”, etc ON THIS POST.

INSTEAD,

Share your views on this post. Share your experience with these type of comments. ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„…

I’m dying to interact with you…my lovely readers. ๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜.

Have a Great day my Friends โคโค ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€

Thank you so much ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—

  1. I see a few blind likes… Blind comments I can imagine but probably only on higher profile blogs, I don’t have the readership for people to bother! Good to call this out though as it sort of subverts all that’s good with the blogging community.

  2. You make an excellent point regarding blind comments. With that said, I am guilty of the “well done”, “awesome”, etc. comments but not without reading the post. There are times where I don’t have anything to say but I want to let the author know I admire their work. Most of the time, I make a worthy comment but, you know, there are only so many hours in a day.

So, well done and nice and awesome post, my friend! ๐Ÿ™‚ I like your style and now following your blog.

It happens when we want to say something, but we have nothing to say. ….But It’s okay…….It’s completely ok…

  3. Oh yes.. Your post makes sense. Many people just hit like so as to get enough traffic.. In fact I did as I mentioned in your earlier post on blind likes.. But false comments is that really happening…
Well your way of replying to all those “great” “nice” comments is great… But isn’t it kind of embarrassing them.. Just another perspective…

    1. It’s interesting….
Even I’m aware of this perspective…..
Definitely, It can offend some people who usually have no time to comment and they just drop a line of some words…….
But Also It will be appropriate for those who just break the writer’s heart by not replying the questions he asked in the post and write only two words…..
I think whatever you do, it would definitely have two sides of pros and cons. ๐Ÿ˜‰
Thanks much for your time and sharing your perspective…โ˜บ

      1. Yes I agree with this point when it comes to writer’s work.. It would surely hurt when we got to know that likes n comments were just for a sake… I hope majority people truly respect the writing of fellow bloggers..

  4. I follow a lot of blogs and believe it or not I have a life outside blogging- it is EXTREMELY time consuming to comment on every blog post I read. Sometimes I like it as a way of letting the person know I came by for a read, sometimes I just say a few words, like “loved this” “Great capture”
Made me laugh. Doesn’t mean I didn’t read it. Doesn’t mean it is a blind comment.

    1. I completely agree with you.
You know……….there are lot of people on the wordpress who don’t have enough time to read the posts and to comment on them in detail. It’s okay but……..
I considered here only those who only wants the traffic on their blog……
Thank you so much for giving time to the post… ๐Ÿ™‚โคโค

  5. “Because comments are a way to connect …..” I totally agree with you. I think genuinely engaging with other bloggers is more important than the numbers. Although, I admit I am guilty of writing a few words like “Beautiful. I Love it!” (usually photos). This comment does come from my heart…….sometimes that’s all you can say when something is just sooooo Beautiful!

    1. I also agree with you. Sometimes when you see a picture or post that’s just sooo beautiful, It leaves you speechless. Nd you can’t say anything more than “Soooo beautiful”…๐Ÿ˜

  6. Man a lot of friendly criticism in the comments section here.. I’m guessing you didn’t expect this ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
Anyway you addressed a discussion that sure must have popped in everyone’s mind here.. Are they really reading? I spent a whole two hours of my life to write this.. Was it worth the effort?…
But in the end it doesn’t matter.. Even a single genuine reader makes my day happy..

You have done a Great effort nd it’s worth it… ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—……..
Yeah, one meaningful comment is better than 20 ‘Great post’ comments… ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€….

  7. hmmm what can I say this. I guess I am guiltY of blind comments and likes; all of us want for others to directed to our own blogs. But you can’t project and say that every single “great job” or “i loved the post” is ingeniune and the follower never took the time to read. I feel a lot of that way with instagram or facebook. I’ll post an piece of my writing alongside a photo and I wonder how many people simply liked the photos without actually reading the words; and again I am guilty of that too. But I love encouragement and will take any comments that come my way. By the way was this comment long enough or should I go on lol?

    Liked by 1 person

    1. No, you shouldn’t be guilty of likes nd comments you did. It’s just the part of Blogging. This is the only way you can connect with other bloggers. It’s just the way to say ‘Hello’ to other bloggers on WordPress. After then, you can make a lot of conversation with them. But It must be in a controlled nd wise way.
I agree with you not all ‘Great post’ comments are blind. Sometimes, the reader just don’t have enough to say but he likes the post.
Well, the audience of Instagram and Facebook is totally GARBAGE. So don’t worry about them and the likes you receive on the posts.
      ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜….No, no. It’s a complete comment.๐Ÿค—
Thank you so much for giving your time to the post. โค

      1. So yeah to be honest I do sometimes do blind comments to direct people to my blog but after that when I do comment; it’s sincere and I’ve taken the time to read it. Its tough to follow a thousand blogs; respond to 20 comments a day and find the time to read all of your followers blogs; it becomes a chore so i choose one of two to read a day or i interact with those who comment the most of my blog.

  8. I can’t get that smirk off my face after going through the post. First of all thanks a ton for visiting my blog and spending some time over. Secondly, this is the first post I read on your blog which caught my attention and we are connected from this moment on buddy ๐Ÿ™‚ .
It happens many a times when the number of people you happen to follow is huge and every time you switch to your Reader, you are bombarded with write ups, poems, thoughts for the day and all the creative stuff. I admit to “blind liking stuff”, but never a blind comment, plus I do get back to every post I can for a thorough read once I get time and try my best to give what I expect in return… an audience ๐Ÿ™‚ .
    That’s my confession ๐Ÿ˜› .

Well, that’s good that you don’t comment blindly on the posts and read them thoroughly……
However, the blind comments exist here. Even I received many on my posts………..
People like you, who want Audience are definitely supposed not to comment like, “Nice, Great, Amazing etc.”
      You’re doing great….
      Best Wishes for you… โคโค๐Ÿ˜„.

  9. Now I don’t know whether to leave a ‘like’ on this post simply because I like it or if I must have some ulterior motive, such as this was good but I don’t totally agree. You did present an interesting argument for the ‘other’ side.

  10. sometimes we do not know what to say and other times we are press of time and just leave a short comment if the blog is related to us or if we are agree with it. Furthermore, It is hard work reading soo many blogs everyday and write a long comments in addition to daily chores and activities:) Anyway, please do not offended if my comment fell short. cheers:)

  11. Great initiative you took. But time can play against authors of comments so I do not think lengthy comments can help at that time. I liked your posts. Usually, I comment really fast. If it touches poetry, I’ll try my best either to analyse the work or give my reader’s opinion. Other subjects, it depends. I just come up with some really appreciative words.

It encourages the shallow and hollow relationship that are way too prevalent today … and the false sense of acceptance and accolades…

This is true but many times people comment nice post not because they have not read it..may be they like the post but they are not finding exact words to compliment you and they end up written those words( which you have mentioned in your post) because they want to make sure that you have been appreciated
So not every time these comments are fishy๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ˜€

  16. I never leave blind comments. I may say just โ€œgood postโ€ after reading, and mean it. I canโ€™t always come up with a lengthy comment, not when reading multiple blogs a day. As for the blogโ€™s author asking a question they want the readers to answer, again, I donโ€™t often have anything I with to add to their post, so I may just like. I think your posts about blind likes and comments may be the only ones that Iโ€™ve responded to that ask a question. Truth be told, posts that ask questions sort of irritate me. ๐Ÿคจ
It all boils down to โ€œtoo many blogs to read, too little timeโ€.

    1. Ohh… I got it…
It’s not possible to do lengthy comments on all the posts. Moreover you’re reading multiple blogs. I face this problem too. So for this, I have an another strategy that I do a short comment but completely different from other comments. I say the same thing in more friendly way. ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ™‚…
I understand this. Posts like this irritate some people because they find it difficult or hard to answer the questions. I’m really lucky you commented on my posts and gave your opinion…๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—…

  18. I think blind commenters exist and happen often. But I’ve just learned to filter through it. If a person does comment on my post (one where there’s effort) that’s the only time I go to their blogs and check theirs out. If they just say… “nice post” or whatever, I know that they’re not worth my time. Their comment is still a view on my blog anyway haha!
